You bet we do! Pilots don't fly without a checklist, so why should you? Use this checklist of helpful tips to optimise your Pacific Airshow experience:
Make sure you have purchased your tickets and have them in your phone/hand before you leave home!
Plan your arrival strategy. Be prepared for traffic delays. Utilise the G:link (light rail), Rideshare, carpooling, walk or bike if possible. Visit the Translink website for the latest in public transport options.
If you drive, please follow all posted parking signs. The last thing you want after a fun day at Pacific Airshow is a parking ticket or a towed vehicle.
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! A day in the sun is fun but be sure to drink plenty of water.
Small (under 1L), personal sized water bottles (that are empty of liquid) are allowed into the venue with water stations available to fill up once inside.
For General Tickets (GA, Show Centre Zone and Premium GA): While the beach will be full of delicious food vendors to keep your tummy full, you can bring your own food and snacks for personal consumption.
Please note no outside take-away food will be allowed in. Grocery store purchased food or snacks are permitted in personal consumption quantities.
You are NOT permitted to bring glass, alcohol or commercial food into the event.
For Hospitality Tickets: No personal food or beverage will be allowed within the hospitality areas.
For General Admission ticket holders (GA and Show Centre Zone): Protect yourself with sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, and small personal umbrellas (under 2m in size). And please remember to be respectful of other ticket holders around you when using your umbrella as the Airshow is in the sky!
For Premium GA and Hospitality ticket holders: Protect yourself with sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat (strictly NO umbrellas allowed in these areas due to the disruption of viewing).
Bring earplugs/earmuffs! Part of the thrill of Pacific Airshow is the sound, but ear protection is highly encouraged, especially for younger children.
Cameras and binoculars are a great way to capture the excitement.
Leave your drone at home! Pacific Airshow is an enforced NO DRONE ZONE for everyone’s safety.
-
You betcha!
A variety of excellent food and beverage vendors will be in place to satisfy your cravings and quench your thirst! Please refer to the Event Map closer to the Airshow for final locations of food vendors.
Alternatively, delicious catering options are included in some of our Hospitality offerings. -
The City has been working hard to restore our beaches so we can continue to host major events like the Pacific Airshow safely and spectacularly.
The Pacific Airshow is one of the few events in the world capable of transforming a beach into a grandstand. Bringing this event back to Surfers Paradise is a powerful symbol of our community’s strength and our city’s ability to bounce back.

It is recommended that ear protection is worn while performances are taking place, particularly for small children.
Should you wish to have ear protection for yourself or your child, we encourage you to bring it from home (and include it as part of your event day checklist) as we cannot guarantee availability within our Pacific Airshow merchandise stands.

Shaded areas are available in our upgraded Hospitality ticket areas.
General Admission ticket holders should anticipate little-to-no shade with Premium GA having limited shade areas available.
Guests are asked to consider bringing sunscreen, hats, umbrellas (umbrellas in GA and Show Centre Zone areas only), sunglasses, and empty re-usable water bottles to ensure you have access to fill up with water once inside the venue.

General Admission and Show Centre Zone (SCZ) ticket holders: Seating is not included with your ticket purchase.
We recommend bringing your own chairs, towels, blankets, and small umbrellas in the General Admission and SCZ area. Keep in mind, you may have to carry these items with you throughout the day, so consider bringing chairs with carrying straps or a bag to hold your towels/blankets.
Premium GA and Hospitality ticket holders: An unreserved seating option will be available as part of your ticket. Please do not bring your own chair as it will not be allowed within these specific ticket areas.

Getting there
-
Pacific Airshow will take place 14 - 16 August at Surfers Paradise Beach, Gold Coast which is located at: 2 Esplanade, Surfers Paradise QLD 4217
-
There are many accommodation options for Pacific Airshow Gold Coast.
Accor is the official accommodation Partner for Pacific Airshow Gold Coast. Head to our Accommodation page and sign up to their loyalty program for great savings on accommodation across the Gold Coast.
Destination Gold Coast’s website has a great overview for accommodation, along with the latest list of things to see and do while visiting this amazing part of Queensland. -
We HIGHLY recommend using public transport wherever possible. Head to the Translink website to find the best public transport options for you.
However, if you do need to bring the car, there is extremely limited parking available on a first-come, first-serve basis around the city. But given how busy Surfers Paradise can be on weekends, parking close to the venue will be difficult to find.
For ticket holders that have accessibility requirements, there will be an accessible drop off location near Gate E (on View Ave).
Please note this accessible drop off is NOT a parking location. All vehicles will be asked to move on once the accessible ticket holder has left the vehicle. Support from your vehicle to the venue entry and around the Airshow site is not available and will be the responsibility of the ticket holder and/or their companion to ensure transport and access around is suitable.
We advise all ticket holders to leave plenty of time for their journey, expect there may be delays, and make use of the Translink transport network wherever possible.
-
Great idea! After flying, cycling is our next favourite transport option!
There will be dedicated bike parking areas marked around the event.
Please bring your own bike lock for security as these locations will not be guarded.
Please note: Pacific Airshow is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged property that is left within the bike parking areas.
Viewing
-
Dedicated accessible viewing areas will be available on a first-come first-serve basis. Ticket holders with accessible requirements, and eligible companions, are permitted entry to the accessible area.
Please note: Depending on capacity and space, it may not be possible to allow additional ticket holders beyond that of the companion to sit with the accessible ticket holder on the Accessible viewing Platform.
A full Accessible Access Plan will be available closer to the event.
Staff support from the accessible drop off (located near Gate E – View St) to the venue entry and around the site is not available. The Airshow venue is quite large in size and the majority of the public areas are fully exposed to the elements. To ensure a comfortable and safe experience, we encourage all ticket holders to come prepared, as the day can be physically demanding without proper preparation.
Please refer to our Event Map closer to the event for the Accessible Access drop off point and Accessible Viewing areas within the venue. For any specific accessibility inquiries, please contact us at tickets@pacificairshow.com and a team member will get back to you.
-
Those on the water will have a great view of the show but we do ask you to follow a few rules!
During the operational hours of the Airshow, Pacific Airshow will institute what is called a “sterile aerobatic box” in the water which will be marked with buoys and will be patrolled by Queensland Police and on-water security.
Swimmers, surfers, and boogie boarders should expect to only be able to swim in waist-deep water during these times.
Boaters should refer to the Maritime Safety Queensland’s Notice to Mariners' closer to the event for further location information.
Community
FOR THE LATEST, PLEASE REFER TO THE INFORMATION AVAILABLE ON OUR COMMUNITY PAGE IN THE LEAD UP TO THE EVENT.

Any changes put in place will be done so in consultation with relevant Emergency Services departments and are for the safety of the community and event patrons.
A wider community engagement strategy will be undertaken to ensure all residents and businesses have been provided with all information required and are fully aware of any potential changes that may occur.

Event activities will be loud.
Part of the exhilaration of Pacific Airshow is being there to fully experience the sound and atmosphere of the amazing pilots, jets and planes.Earplugs or other ear protection are advised for residents who would like to reduce the noise levels.
-
Nobody loves their pets like we do at Pacific Airshow. We understand that loud noises can be bothersome to some of our furry friends. Pet owners are advised to take special precautions to ensure their furry friends remain safe and comfortable during this year’s Pacific Airshow Gold Coast.
Here are some essential tips for pet owners to help manage the increased noise and activity:
Create a Safe Space: Ensure your pet has a quiet, comfortable place to retreat to during the airshow. A room with minimal windows and soft furnishings can help muffle the noise.
Use Calming Aids: Consider using pet-safe calming aids such as pheromone diffusers, anxiety wraps, or natural supplements. Consult your vet for recommendations tailored to your pet's needs.
Stay Indoors: Keep pets indoors during the airshow, especially during peak noise periods. If possible, stay home with them to provide reassurance and comfort.
Play Background Noise: Playing music or white noise can help drown out the sounds of the jets and create a more soothing environment for your pet.
Exercise Early: Ensure your pets get plenty of exercise earlier in the day before the airshow begins. A tired pet is more likely to rest and remain calm.
Monitor for Signs of Stress: Be aware of signs of anxiety or distress in your pet, such as excessive panting, shaking, or hiding. If you notice these signs, comfort your pet and consider seeking advice from your vet.
-
There will be several road closures and changes in the lead up and during Pacific Airshow Gold Coast, and we will ensure as minimal changes as possible.
All changes are put in place to allow a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone and will be done in consultation with Emergency Services departments.
For up-to-date information on any activities that may impact the local community, please refer to our Community page and ensure you have registered for our Pacific Airshow Newsletter.
