Code Four Expands Australian Operations

Code Four, the US-headquartered event and marketing agency renowned for bringing the highly successful Pacific Airshow Gold Coast to Australia has announced the strategic acquisition of two thriving local businesses to expand its commitment to Australia.

The acquisitions of the popular local Crafted Beer Festival and Gold Coast creative and content studio Hotel Miami is set to enhance Code Four’s presence and services on offer in Australia while driving community engagement and economic growth through further development of unique event experiences.

Kevin Elliott, CEO of Code Four, emphasised the importance of the acquisitions to the company's broader vision for expansion.

“The success of Pacific Airshow Gold Coast, which drew 300,000+ attendees last August, has been a highlight of Code Four’s international expansion strategy,” said Elliott, who last year leased a 1,000 sqm premises behind Ashmore’s auto precinct.

“Joining forces with the Teams at Crafted Beer Festival and Hotel Miami grows our Australian presence while at the same time reinforces our commitment to, and investment in, the Gold Coast, fostering local job creation and skills development on the glitter strip.

“We are building a vertically integrated powerhouse agency here on the Gold Coast, designed to support our owned events and services on offer to our event partners in Asia Pacific.

“People think of Code Four and Pacific Airshow as American companies, but that’s not the real story. Our Australian team is influencing our growth and success across the globe and we’re doubling down on our commitment to Australia.”

Crafted Beer Festival, held annually at Broadbeach’s Kurrawa Park and supported by Experience Gold Coast, has garnered a strong following since its inception in 2017. The festival is brewing up its next Gold Coast event on 14 September, with over 400 craft beers to wet the whistle on what promises to be a warm September Saturday full of music, food and the best local beverages. Crafted will then take the show on the road to Newcastle for the first time, staging an event in Newcastle Foreshore (Newcastle East, NSW) on 16 November.

Sam Pearce, Chief Operations Officer at Code Four, said the same team would deliver the Crafted experience in Newcastle in November.

“This merger amplifies everything we’re doing at Code Four, bringing opportunities for more cross-collaboration of our brands, starting with a Crafted Beer Festival Bar at the upcoming Pacific Airshow,” he said.

Code Four plans to expand the beer festival to other Australian locations and the United States, bringing Aussie craft beer to an even broader audience worldwide.

Hotel Miami, known for its expertise in content production, design and branding, has successfully worked with prominent brands including, Tourism Australia, Experience Gold Coast and Major Events Northern Territory. Code Four aims to capitalise on this experience to enhance its offering to its owned events and clients.

“Being part of Code Four’s global expansion means Hotel Miami can offer end-to-end event production to our many established customers.

“We are excited to expand our team to continue to produce world-class content for not only our own events and partners, but for an expanding client base as well,” said Hotel Miami Creative Director Darran Franks.

“We’re thrilled to see Hotel Miami level up onto the global stage and continue to evolve with these new opportunities.”
